We work to transform communities by nurturing radical connection, practicing deep democracy, and building collective power. We do this by creating transformative content, strengthening the capacity of leaders and organizations, and cultivating lasting change rooted in love and justice.

Why 10,000 Beloved Communities?
Rooted in the legacy of Dr. King’s Beloved Community, this term describes a society grounded in justice, equality, and love—where people of all backgrounds live together in understanding and cooperation. The number 10,000 signifies infinite impact. It is a symbolic call to connect spiritually and honor our ancestral lineage. Embracing the concept of 10,000 Beloved Communities is an invitation to explore, learn, and join a journey toward love, resilience, and interconnectedness.
The Beloved Communities Network (BCN) is a national network of cultural strategists, organizers, and creatives transforming communities through collective practice, deep democracy, and radical connection—where advancing racial justice is foundational. Rooted in the legacy of the Fellowship of Reconciliation, Dr. King, Grace Lee Boggs, and others, we carry forward the concept and practice of the Beloved Community by nurturing cultural projects that co-create a world of loving interdependence and social and economic justice.
Our work is grounded in three core pillars:
1. Content Creation
We believe content is a catalyst for change. Through workshops, narrative strategy, and multimedia initiatives, BCN creates content that builds shared understanding and deepens commitment to the principles of Beloved Community.
2. Capacity Building and Training
Supporting leaders is central to our mission. BCN empowers individuals through coaching, tailored training, and curriculum development designed to cultivate transformative leadership rooted in Beloved Community. Our offerings include labs, workshops, and skill-building for long-term impact.
3. Sponsorship and Cultivation
BCN actively sponsors and nurtures Beloved Communities in action by supporting initiatives that embody Beloved Community principles. We amplify and cultivate these efforts to realize our vision for 10,000 Beloved Communities.
